For the second time we will also be acting as a gathering point for Transition Towns from around the country, to take part in the Transition Bloc!
You can read more about the last march in this blog How The Climate Change March Seriously Cheered Me Up from one of our members Kalina Palka and watch a great edited clip.”

Cakes by Brett & Bailey: Joe’s ode to cake goes like this “It’s less than a month to go until Christmas, so head on over to our stall to add to your Yuletide table, Brett & Bailey-style. Our luxury Christmas cakes are studded with bourbon-steeped cranberries, cherries and figs, and come exquisitely finished with either a fine dark chocolate slab and rows of glazed nuts and fruits, or moreish marzipan, royal icing and a handsome little robin. Meanwhile, our special recipe Christmas puddings feature fruits soaked in Pedro Ximénez sherry, and are gently steamed before being generously splashed with VSOP calvados. A merry Christmas indeed. Reserve yours to collect from the stall here.
Cakes by the slice include chocolate and clementine cake; apple and salted caramel cake; our signature double carrot cake; ginger and caramelised orange cake; sticky date cake; and an indulgent chestnut cheesecake dusted with fine organic cocoa – possibly our most luscious cheesecake yet. Elsewhere, don’t miss out on our stollen swirls, pumpkin pecan pie, peanut butter bars, our classic dark chocolate brownies with pecans, white chocolate chunks and fleur de sel, cranberry and clementine cookies, and an exceedingly large batch of our scrumptious sticky buns. Locally grown bee friendly seedlings, herbs & teas from Gipsy Hill Herbs: Sarah says “I’ll be bringing a full range of teas and there are a couple of new ones since my last visit, both designed to help the body through the long winter months. Skin Clarifying Tea – a lovely mix of Red Clover with dandelion and damask rose that encourages the elimination of toxins from the body, purifying the blood and helping to promote and maintain a healthy skin. Red clover is also an excellent herb for the menopause years owing to its hormone balancing properties.
Energising Detox Tea: A tasty tonic tea to promote detoxification and boost vitality and a great early morning drink to help you feel energised for the day ahead. Rich in vitamins and minerals and gently cleansing, nettle and peppermint are also traditional remedies to help combat the symptoms of winter colds. Also on sale for the first time are Gipsy Hill Herbs’ new flavoured
Herbal Salts: Fragrant Tuscan Salt made with organic sage, rosemary, garlic and Maldon salt and delicious on roast meats and veg, eggs and pasta dishes as well as in casseroles, soups and stews. Coriander Chilli and Lime salt: adding a fresh zing to everything from chips to scrambled eggs on toast.
And for the more sweet toothed – Lavender Sugar made with unrefined castor sugar and organic culinary lavender from the Cotswolds. I’ve discovered that it’s absolutely delicious with porridge [and I’m a dyed in the wool ‘only salt with my porridge thanks’ type] and it’s also good in shortbread and biscuits or sprinkled on cakes or berries. Sold in lovely vintage German preserving jars. And last, but definitely not least, Gipsy Hill Herbs very own recipe organic Mulled Wine Sachets!
