Trees with red apples in an orchard

Wayne says “Open Orchard will be coming to the CPFM for the first time – and we’re really excited! Open Orchard will be working in Gipsy Hill ward over the next 6 months to connect communities through fruit!  We’ll be mapping, picking, and making healthy things from fruit in Gipsy Hill, and will be planting more fruit trees for future harvests.  And we need your help! Do you have a fruit tree you don’t pick from, or know one which goes to waste? Can you help us to pick fruit when it’s ready?  Are you an expert jam maker, or have a family recipe you could share?  Or do you have other ideas to make sure no fruit goes to waste, and people have access to healthy food?

Pop along to our stall on Saturday to have a chat with us, add to our giant map and share your ideas.  Open Orchard is working with the Lambeth Food Partnership and Lambeth Council on the Gipsy Hill Food Flagship project.  You can tweet us @openorchardprojfind us on Facebook and check out our website.
