Cake – Brett & Bailey The cake gossip this week goes like this “Look out for the return of two summer favourites this weekend! First up, our Melba squares come bursting with succulent peaches and raspberries, baked into a super-moist almond and yoghurt sponge. We’ll also have lemon and almond meringue cake, layered with plump blackberries and liberally splashed with amaretto.

Elsewhere on the cake parade we’ll have Top Banana cake with salted dulce de leche and banana milkshake buttercream; double carrot cake; baked summer berry cheesecake; and limoncello-drizzledstrawberry and white chocolate gateau.  We’ll also have brand new cherry bakewell slices (come and find out what an exceedingly good one actually tastes like); peanut butter bars; pecan and white chocolate chunk brownies; triple chocolate cookies; and a big basket of sticky buns.
